Time to post my 2nd wedding of the weekend. This past weekend was long, but I had such a fun time at both, it didn’t seem very long at all! Tim & Jen were married on Saturday at St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church in Eden Prairie with the reception at the Graves 601 Hotel in Downtown Minneapolis. They met a couple of years ago at a mutual friend’s wedding. Jen knew the bride very well and Tim was the best man for the groom. They met and fell for each other! Now, they are married and encouraged their single friends at their reception to drink and make some love connections like they did! You could really feel the love in the air during their wedding and reception. It always helps when there are lots of tears to go around. :) Enjoy the sample of pictures from their wedding, and feel free to leave a comment for Tim & Jen!
Gotta love those back rooms in the church they put the bride in to get ready.
Tim didn’t see Jen prior to the wedding, so his reaction was classic!
One of Tim’s best friends gave the message to the couple & guests during the wedding.
And, at one point, had probably half of the people there in tears.
It was off to St. Anthony & Main for some pictures prior to the reception. We had just missed the big rain storm that came through, so luckily, we were able to get pictures. There were some puddles we had to watch out for, though
And then… it was off to the Graves for some pictures. I was really looking forward to this, because I have heard such great things about this hotel. It certainly didn’t disappoint!!!
Even the elevators were sweet!
After their grand march, they went right into the first dance.
Tim did a little bit of a different dance with his mom for the mother/son dance. I loved it!
I got so many great dancing shots, I had to post alot of them!
Congrats, Jen & Tim!!! Hope you are having a wonderful honeymoon!
Whew! It’s been a crazy, crazy weekend for me. I have loads of pictures to edit and have barely begun to edit them. And, we are going on vacation starting Thursday, so I guess I’ll be working a little on vacation!
Back to my wedding I shot last Friday afternoon. Eric & Kathy were married at the University Club in St. Paul. I was referred to them by a friend of Kathy’s from St. Olaf who’s wedding I shot at the University Club last May! Nicole was there as one of her bridesmaids, so it was nice to see her and catch up a little. Eric & Kathy are self-proclaimed introverts, so they wanted their ceremony & reception to be intimate with their closest family and friends. They had people coming in from all areas of the nation and the world! Kathy’s brother is a Foreign Ambassador for the US, so their family is currently residing in India. They all showed up in the traditional Indian outfits for a wedding! It was a very unique and fun wedding to be a part of, and I enjoyed every moment of it. Take a look below for some images from their day.
Going down the stairs to see Eric for the first time
Aaahhh… time for a break before the ceremony
Here is the adorable little flower girl, niece of Kathy, walking down the aisle in her sari! I love it!
This little guy, nephew of the bride, was all pooped out from all of the activities
The cake was done by Cakes by Jessica in St. Paul. It was the one thing that Kathy wanted to splurge on!
Along with introverts, Kathy & Eric call themselves “nerds”… hence the gifts for the guests
A nice moment between Kathy & her dad.

Sorry for all of the pictures. It’s so hard to choose!! Thanks for the wonderful day, Kathy & Eric. Enjoy your honeymoon to India this winter!
This was my 2nd engagement session out at Minnehaha Falls this year and the 2nd time we had to debate as to whether or not this session was going to happen due to weather! We were able to get both shoots in, thankfully. It might have been a little muggy, but there was a nice breeze and the sun was setting for Steve & Becky’s session. The light was so gorgeous! I am in love with sunset and just have a blast shooting in that lighting. Steve originally found me through a reunion website for St. Ben’s and St. John’s students called www.johnnies.net. I don’t remember Steve, even though we are the same year, but since we were also the same major, we probably had at least one class together at one point and time! Becky & Steve met in the workplace, and as it turns out, she is a graduate of St. Ben’s. It’s actually how they got the conversation going between the two of them. :) Now, they are getting married this October. I had such a fun time with them and look forward to their wedding in a few months!
We meet up again with little Cianna, one of my Watch Me Grow clients. She is now 6 months old. I can hardly believe how fast she has grown! This age is the best again to photograph little babies: they usually can sit up and they usually can’t move around. So, they sit there and look happy! You really can’t go wrong with a 6 month session
This session went especially well, I have to post quite a few pictures. I had trouble deciding!! Enjoy the pictures and feel free to leave a comment for Cianna, Steve, & Brie!
Love, love, LOVE my new lens… that depth of field is amazing!!
