I have had a passion for taking pictures since high school. That's where I took my first photography class and really learned about the basics of taking a good picture. I continued to take pictures on my own time whenever I had the chance and took a few more classes once I got to college. However, it wasn't in class where I learned the most. It was in the field, experiencing each and every different situation that comes my way.
My style of photography is to let your day unfold as it is. I absolutely love to be the "fly on the wall," allowing events to occur without interruption. There is a time and a place for formal shots. Most weddings have the same types of formal shots, even though the poses may be different. On the other hand, the emotions and feelings that happen on a wedding day can never be replicated. It will not look the same from wedding to wedding. That is what I love about this job: the uniqueness each wedding has the potential to show me.
In my 10 years of experience, I have learned it is about capturing the right moment. The bride and groom & their families will have these moments captured in time, always there for their viewing. My hope as your photographer is to encapsulate these moments in time. The perfect, photographic moments are all around us; you just have to have the eye to notice them and make them come to life in print.
If you feel my style matches yours, I would be honored to be the photographer for your wedding day.
